Climate Change Revolution

Bill Joy, co-founder of Sun Microsystems recently spoke at the Cleantech investor conference in Franfurt and said that "A global response to climate change will spur a business revolution bigger than the internet." There are definitely problems right now with the climate change being caused by emissions from greenhouse gases and using energy more carefully can create profits for potential companies. Joy gave an example of how the car industry can be improved by using smaller more efficient cars, adopting emerging technologies such as hybrids, and researching breakthroughs in biofuel technology. He believes that Silicon Valley would be a place for advancements to break through and the global race is now on. I definitely agree with his thoughts on how future breakthroughs are going to happen in the Silicon Valley. This is the place with tons of smart people, money, and research facilities. Along with all the biotech and tech companies in the bay area, greentech may be the next big thing.
